What are the negative effects if any of generating a clock from a previously generated clock? Both of which will use the create_generated_clock command.

The following is mentioned in the documentation, does any one know what is meant by "overwrites the attributes on the generated_clock object"? Are they referring to the original generated clock or the new one? I don't see how it can effect the original gen_clock. Any input will be appreciated.

From documentation:
Using create_generated_clock on an existing generated_clock object overwrites the attributes of the generated_clock object.

It is the same object, not son object
