hello all ,

i have to take voltage from USB of PC . in my application i do not need current more then 5V and 400 - 500 mA . suppose any PC has more then current like above >500mA . then how to drop current ? is that any component required ?then please tell me .

Another Question is suppose my SMPS voltage take for my application at time SMPS name plate voltage is 5V and Current up-to 3A. is that any problem occurred or not ? please reply me !!

I'm not sure what you mean, you can connect a load that requires a low current amount to a source that has a much higher current capacity without any problem, so why do you want to limit the current?
