Hi all !

I would like to know why in the small signal analysis in CMOS technology, the current source becomes an open circuit.

Regards,

Joaquin

Hi,

Can to tell which current source you are talking about .... In any MOS small signal model there is a voltage dependent current source (gm Vgs) .... but it becomes open ckt only if Vgs = 0 else not ....

The internal resistance of an ideal current source is infinite. An independent current source with zero current is identical to an ideal open circuit.
