Hello Friends,
I want to design an ammeter using PIC micro-controller For that I want to know how I can do this, i have searched on GOOGLE for the circuits but I did not find any help from their. So, I want to know the circuit for ammeter through which i can measure the DC current (0 amps to 6 amps) using Micro-controller and display it on LCD.

Thank you.

The simple way is to measure the voltage over a series resistor with load and appling the ohm formula to calculate the current.
The resitor must as low as posible in value and high wattage. So lets say that you have a 0.1Ohm res. and a voltage drop of 0.1 V so i=1 amp.
To do this with pic you must use the analog to digital module
