Hello there,

We are trying to build up a testing environment for a commercial wifi mini-card. The card is simply reading a continuous modulated RF waveform through a wire connected between signal generator and its antenna socket. We are trying to see the received signal after down-conversion at the output of the wifi card's ADC before it's passed to baseband processing.

Would it matter if we don't write the data in a standard 802.11 packet if we only want to see the reconstructed waveform? (i.e. just data without headers and preambles)

Thanks in advance!
