Hi,

Can you please explain the mean,root mean square and standard deviation with a practical example?
What is the practical application of each and what we can infer from their results?

Any standard book on statistics will explain these concepts.
 

Hi,
in order to calculate the mean value of m data you should sort them from the smallest one to the greatest one then the number which is in the middle of the data string is the mean value for example when you have 4 5 7 2 5 1 3 2 6 3 5 as your data in order to calculate the mean value you should sort =>1 2 2 3 3 4 5 5 5 6 7 then the number in the middle(11+1/2=6) is mean value here 4 is mean value.
