Hi!

My Flatbed scanner no longer scans anything. All I get is gibberish image, same thing every time.

I have attached a picture of what supposed to be an black A4 color scan, but the same image I get no matter what I'm trying to scan.

This happened after I have discovered that the wall wart that was used to power this scanner has suddenly died.

Checked the internal connections, there are two flex ribbon cables, and cleaned the respective sockets with contact cleaner, no change.

Any hints ?

PS: The scanner is based on the GT68xx chipset (GT6801/GT6816)

If this thread does not belong here, can it be moved to the repair section?

10x.

Why you want to move this thread?

Found the culprit: CCD Sensor

The CCD Sensor was power directly from the wall wart, which failed miserably, killing the CCD sensor as well.
