hello,

Is the switching of the three FETs in the HV9982 done with phase shifting? (so as to reduce input current ripple?)

The first page of the datasheet of the HV9982 3-channel led driver ic says....

The switching frequencies
of the three converters are controlled by an external clock
signal. The channels operate at a switching frequency of
1/12th of the external clock frequency to minimize the input
current ripple.

...this doesnt make sense......switching at 1/12th clock doesnt of itself reduce ripple......phasing the fet switching by equal degrees apart does reduce input current ripple....but the datasheet doesnt say that phased switching occurs....do you think that its likely that phased fet switching does occur?
