Frequency counter with pic16f877a in CCS C Compiler

hi everybody,I Would like to counter the frequency and then display it on the LCD ,but I am not able to do it in ccs c compiler.
Just display the frequency corresponding to a given signal.

Can you please help me to do that,I am using pic16f877a

can you please help me with the codes in ccs c compiler??
 

I sorted out the issue I am counting the frequency and period as well;but now I would like to take decisions basing on this period using switch cases and print a given text at fufillment of one condition
