Need Help with Disco Light

I need to create a device for turning on and off diferent lights in the way i want. It supposed to be conected to the computer with Centonics port. Can somebothy tell me how do i have to do it?

I presume that these are mains lamps?, if so the safest way is to use logic level optocouplers, and use the outputs to drive triacs. If you only need up to 8 outputs, you can use D0-D7 on the port. Any PC language should be able to print out characters to the port. You just need to look up ASCII codes to get the correct pattern.

Just another thought, You could drive opto isolated mains relays directly from the port. This will be easy, but a more costly option.
