I intend to build a combat robot like used in war robots. It may weigh up to 30 Kg. With upto 24 volts.
I need it to run adequately fast and able to drag/push another robot with itself. When i visited the local market place. There were many different motors. does any one has experience in such regard?

You can see here:

http://www.battlekits.com/

Motors should be choosen by concrete action of robot, and should be appropriate to robot fighting style and his special attack or defence ability. You can have steppers, servos, ....

Go to Youtube portal and in search field type "robotwars" (For those who do not know what it is).

Better to see two steel strike each other, than two peoples.
