rotary encoder for bigger shafts

Hi!!

i want to know whether there is rotary encoder which can fixed to 30cm diameter shaft..

Thank you
 

Incremental?...absolute?...environment?...speed?...hollow shaft?

May ask how the diameter is affecting the encoder?
as far I know, the encoder can be attached to the shaft with any diameter!
 

30cm shaft is quite special and normal encoder will support only a few cm. There are however bearingless encoder for shafts up 70cm and more, like this one here: **broken link removed** .
