My donkey water supply pump when i start it to run it stuck and don't run as i rotate the (part on which belts are seated and is connected to the shaft i.e. rotor and to the piston) by hand then it starts to rotate (run) but is making strange sounds while running as if there's some mechanical issue whether in the piston or bearings (if any of the bearings are there inside it , i don't know about the bearings inside it).

To understand the term donkey water supply pump , i'm attaching its images

take care

Hello munzir,

first you must find out, where the strange sound come from, motor or pump.

If it is the motor, the two ball bearings inside the motor are broken. You can change it by opening the motor.

Else look for the bearings and the piston of the pump. Look that there is oil or crease enough.

Where would be the greasing point ?

How can i find out the greasing point to grease the piston ??

Usually this kind of pump should look like this (its self priming water pump) :

Hello munzir,

to say, where you find greasing points its hard to say with only one picture. Also the homepage of DIAMOND Pumps I can not reach in moment. Try to get a service manual from DIAMOND or from the service point in your country.

But look for bearings, where the piston is hold. Put grease on the piston and near the bearings. Move the piston to get the grease into the bearing.

If you are good in mechanics, you can open the pump housing and look for dry places of moving parts. There you put oil or grease to make it light moving.

How to adjust the both the belts on the pulley of the pump ?
Adjust the belt so, that it is not too strong and not too loose. I mean, look that you have no slipping under normal condition.

how to watch out for " no slipping " condition ?

Its not a centrifugal pump , its a reciprocating pump

having a small cam shaft having 2 bearings and the connecting rod (converting the rotational motion of cam shaft into the linear to and fro motion of the piston or connecting rod)

the winding case is getting too hot even if it runs an hour or some more time than an hour

thank
