pinging a huawei router

i have 2 routers connected to each other a huawei router and cisco router, i want to write a script on the cisco router to ping the huawei router every 15 minutes or make any communication with the huawei router, because if the huawei router stay idle for more than 15 minutes it disconnects any help?
 

Does it matter that its a Huawei router ?
Just send a ping to the configured IP address after your timeout period.
