Altium to Cadence translation

Hi,

I'm trying to translate my Altium design to Cadence. The schematics translation worked fine, but I'm having problem with the PCB. Looking in the web, the procedure I found was to first export a .pcb file (Protel 2.8 ASCII) and then import in Layout+ a max file. But when I try to import, instead the max file I just get a log file, where it says an error occurred (Error code 5226.074).

This is the exactly same problem related in this thread (but since it's very old I posting a new one):

But no reply. In another related thread, also no solution:

Does anyone knows a fix to this? Or another way to do this translation?

So guys, any help? Can someone at least tell me if is there a feasible way to do this translation without paying for a third party software?

Try making DXF file of each layer and then import it in Allegro but for footprints i think you need to make them separately.
Netlist you can get fron schematic which you have already converted.

Try thiese steps, (I have never used these steps but think this could help):
>>first make all the footprints assign them to schematic and transfer it to allegro.
>>now generate the pick place report from altium and then using that you can get the component placement (though you might need to modify it a bit in allegro format).
>> for layout and routing you can import dxf..

hope this helps, please tell if this works.
