I need to interface 5 volts output from a pic to 24 volts input to a PLC
Also , the PLC has NPN inputs or PNP inputs
It means that the common can be 24vdc or ground
I need help
Thank you

use BC557 and Rb=4.7K,Rc=5.6K.
VCC= 24V. VEE=0

try this BC557 use as switch and it trigger by PIC controller.

Thank for answer
This will solve the PNP part but what to do with the NPN
As i explained, some PLC are PNP input and some are NPN input
Do i ask too much if you have a short schematic to post ?
Just asking because i am really new at this and my assignment is due soon
The goal was to build a circuit which can interface with a PLC as universal device
4 wires
Plus 24
NPN output
PNP output
Ground

Thank you
