Okay, I actually have two questions... Here they are.
1) IPG [Interested Packet Gap] is defined as 96 times of a bit duration. Why so? How and why was this number chosen?
2) Minimum packet length is defined as 64 bytes (header + 46 bytes of payload + CRC). How and why was this number chosen?
