hercules runsets fuer calibre

Backend team in our company use Calibre as signoff tool.

hercules runsets

In general, Calibre is better than Hercules in performance, capacity and speed. But if your flow is dominated by Synopsys tool, you should use Hercules.

hercules vs. calibre

Calibre is preffered.

calibre vs hercules drc flow

Assur@ from cadence.

Re: hercules vs. calibre

As far as I know, most of the foundry use Calibre as their sign off tools.

hercules vs. calibre

in general foundry release both Calibre and hercules runset .
BTW ,does sign off means DRC/LVS?

hercules vs. calibre

I think both tools have their own pro and con. Some of the feature, calibre did a better job compare to hercules, and the other way round for some other feature. It's totally up to the user preference.

Re: hercules vs. calibre

Re: hercules vs. calibre

Calibre is preffered as it is the TSM signoff tool

hercules vs. calibre

it is obvious trend that alll foundry and design house adapt the calibre as the standarize signoff tools.

hercules vs. calibre

Calibre is better, and more popule.

Re: hercules vs. calibre

calibre is preferable for sign off tool

hercules vs. calibre

Yes, Calibre could be considered the standard.

hercules vs. calibre

calibre is the better tools , assura is another good tools.i am using both them now!

Re: hercules vs. calibre

Calibre is the widely used sign-off tool. It is used in TSMC Reference flow as well.

Re: hercules vs. calibre

For sign-off means foundries accept for tape out as foundries will run DRC/LVS for your GDSII as well, so you need to match the tools they use, that's why they release the rule sets for you.
For tools, there are most likely three tools
Calibr@ from me@tor graphics
Dracul@ from Cad@ence
Hercule@ from Syno@psys, which is A@vanti previously
Assura@ is seldom used by ppl as it's not efficient. It's just for running small blocks and small chips as it can integrate normally to Cadence@ layout tool and so you can simultaneously view ur errors online. Others most likely use command mode

hercules vs. calibre

Yes, Calibre could be considered the standard.

But you'd better follow the fundary's suggestion...

Re: hercules vs. calibre

Calibre is standard .

The performance is better and it is preferred.
