Frequent use of guitar distortion, especially those with greater gain, causes increase of the interferences level. This design of home made guitar Noise Gate can be a solution for that problem.

This system was based on schenatic of mxr gate. The only component which is not easy to get is2N5952. Instead of that you can use any other N-fet, but remember that the Vgs(off) should be as small as possible, because in 2N5952 it is only -1,3V to -3,5V. Gate with 2N5952 operates without any problems.
