This worked intermittently for a while - it sometimes powered up and sometimes didn't. However it very rarely powers up now and looks like the problem has got worse. I really need to use it!

Im looking for suggestions of what it could be and the things i should check.

The problem: it will power on for a split second then fail to turn on (although the fan does remain on) and there is a nasty crackling/screeching sound. The DC fuse in the back of the power supply had previously blown so this could give a clue about the fault?

When it does turn on, there is no screeching noise what so ever and all works fine

Here it is, i made a page on my site:

I would be so grateful to anyone that can help me in anyway to get this working again. I would owe you one!

Thanks
Mike
