Hello all,

I'm trying to design a Chebyshev bandpass filter with microstrip now.
I'd like to make one with 1 dB ripple but I cannot find the Chebyshev filter coefficients, books, internet, I search it everywhere, but I still cannot find it!!!

I need your help friends!

This is from a table in "RF Circuit Design", Chris Bowick (very good reference btw) for low pass prototype Cheby with 1.0 dB ripple.

nR.s/R.lC.1L.2C.3L.4C.5L.6C.7

Thank you, but I need the coefficients when n=4, and the accuracy should be 0.0001.

P.S. That book is good.

With Cheby even order filters R.s can't equal R.l. The table below has the info for 4th order with a few impedance ratios.

nR.s/R.lC.1L.2C.3L.4
430.65294.41100.81402.5346

Thank you very much, is it better to use 5 stage instead of 4 stage ?

And could you please tell me where can I find the exact coefficient ?

These are from a table in "Electronic Filter Design Handbook", Williams and Taylor. I would also recommend "Handbook of Filter Synthesis", by Zverev.

For 5th order Cheby the coefficients are

nR.s/R.lC.1L.2C.3L.4C.5
512.20721.12793.10251.12792.2072

I'm a little confused here. Symphonic said he was interested in a "bandpass filter with microstrip", but all the filters discussed so far are low pass LC filters.

The requirement for 0.0001 accuracy seems unreasonable and pointless too.

Thank you, I've gotten these books, I hope it will help.
