hi guys:D Im measuring capacitance right now and now i want to know if u can use the capacitor if the farad value is higher than the original value which is printed on the capacitor.

All capacitors have an initial tolerance. What is the type of capacitor, value, part number if you have it, and what capacitance are you measuring?

you can use multimeter to see the capacitance.
or you can use simple RCcircuit to do so.

Hello hansped.

Components rarely have the values exactly mentioned on them. The true value is usually a few units more or less than the printed value. If your circuit does not require extreme precision, then it is safe to use a capacitor of the type you mentioned. From your question, I suppose you're a beginner and you will be working on a basic circuit hence I would say that yes, you can go ahead and use such a capacitor.

Humza.
