Hi

I have device which has RS232 output I want to connect 10 device to PC but my pc has only two ports one i have used for mouse nad i have one left. can anyone suggest me how do i implement.

Thanks

i think it could be done with some rs232 to usb adapters, connected to usb hub...

buy a multi i/o 32 bit pci-card and put it in your pc. they are available with different amounts of rs232 interfaces.

This is a eng. problem with many solution:
1- Using HUB
2- IO Expantion
Also some serial connection is self expandable, like GPIO with daisy chain connection.

If you are developer and know everything about your device. you can develop a rs485 network or CAN network.
these two ways are powerful and u can have complete control over the network . U can address any device.

regards
Gopi
