Here is firmware and schematic and Windows software available
for PicProg3. They say it is also capable of removing code protection
from PIC16C and PIC16F series micros.

I get the schematic but it is a bit cloudy for me. If do you have
better information (schematic, pcb layout etc.) please let me know.

(a friend of mine has this programmer, I'll visit him to take a look
if you don't have useful material)

if do you need a universal pic programmer for MS DOS i can help you.
the software that written by me run on DOS. its hardware designed by Bojan Dobaj. I realized it and I have used it for 3 years. Bu I can test it for 16F83,16F84,16F876/877,16C73/74/74B. bu it can program the others.
if you have some problems about this you can inform me.
