thermal conductivity of metals are varies with T at low temperatures, but for semiconductor and insulator it varies as T3,Can you explain this?:-|

specific heat of solids

From text i found that specific heat of metals varies directly with Temperature (C\[\propto\] T), but in the case of insulators and semiconductors, specific heat varies as T^3 at low temperature regions. (Debye s theory of specific heat), Can you explain this?
I was miss spelled thermal conductivity instead of specific heat:-(
