This is a construction of car „electric windows”. Windows opening and closing electric system was applied and the window winders replaced with a new, original ones with motors. Due to the tightness, all drivers remained in place, but they were completely disconnected in terms of electric from the engines by cutting off the paths reaching to the motor power connector. Engines supply was made by drilled holes by cables and additional connector hanging on those cables. One of the cables should be marked, for example the one, to which the supply plus should be connected so the engine rotates in the side of opening the window. That would facilitate later design of the cables harness.
The window control unit consists of control module, main cable harness and four harnesses going into doors, buttons module of the driver and three buttons module in the passengers' doors.

Features of the control module:
  • it can be mounted in any car, including a car with only two doors, and can be controlled by any engine, also universal ones
  • each engine has its own overload protection system. The protection system is also a sensor of windows closed end position
  • the possibility of closing or opening all the windows with a single button, or by an external signal, such as from central locking or remote alarm, when all windows are closed or opened succesively, one by one, which reduces power consumption to supply only one engine at the same time
  • open/close rear window lock can be switched on/off by the driver. When the lock is enabled, the rear windows can be opened or closed only from the driver's seat. When the WB switch is opened, the lock on, because the middle pins of switches in the rear door are disconnected from the ground. Also backlight of those switches is off. Turning on the lock is indicated by yellow LED (DW3). When the WB switch is closed, the lock off, diode DW3 does not light because it is grounded by the DW2 diode
  • control module works with additional comfort module, which is optional. It is not necessary for the proper operation of the control module. The comfort module provides two useful functions:
    • after short pressing of any individual button in order to open the window, the window will go down for a set height of about 5cm. Holding the button for a longer time results in doing down to the desired height
    • after each activation of the overload protection, there is a short beep, so each closing or opening the window or possible emergency state are indicated by a sound
  • the system does not require any software, or setting the initial conditions, for example, after disconnecting the accumulator
  • in the standby mode, the system does not consume current at both working and not working engine of the car. „Air gap” is maintained

To avoid the confusion of the drawing, the comfort module diagram shows a connection to only one segment on a fragment of the control module diagram. Other points: O2, O3, O4 and A2, A3, A4 are connected in the same way.
