My power supply went out to my vaporizer and I will need to buy a new one, I found some on amazon, but many reviewers talked about overheating and other bad stuff, though they also had good reviews. My question is are the as good as normal power supplies or is the build quality worse?

Here is an example of one of the ones I am looking at
http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Ada...UW/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1335154440&sr=8-13

Here is the original power supply that went bad
http://www.itxpower.net/english_adapter_cp1940.htm

Any suggestions on what I should get to replace the cp1940 power supply?

Low cost consumer switching power supplies like both the OEM CP1940 supply and the potential replacement you identified can be a bit of a quality gamble, but they'll usually last long enough to survive any applicable warranty period ;)

My only suggestion (based on 14 seconds of Amazon searching) would be to buy a slightly higher rated supply (to at least match the 19V*4A = 76 Watts of the original supply), perhaps like: https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Adapter-15V-18-5V-19-5V/dp/B004I57MOA/ref=pd_cp_pc_3 ..? (The fact that it is reportedly grounded is often a nice feature too)

In general, a conservatively rated power supply will last longer before failing than a supply operating at its design limits.
Cheers :)

thanks thylacine, that one does sound safer. Will give it a try
