can anyone please tell me which bridge rectifier IC (IC number) i can use to produce 15V DC from 230V AC mains??
pls reply soon...its urgent...

The answer is there isn't such a thing.

You need to drop the 230V AC down to about 15V AC using a transformer then choose a bridge rectifier rated at 45V PIV or more at the current you want to pass though it.

Brian.

Here is the code:
Digi-Key part number VGB0124AY7A-ND.
IXYS Bridge Rectifier Semiconductor Module VGB0124AY7A

You need to drop the 230V AC down to about 15V AC using a transformer ...
That's rather high.
The resultant voltage across a subsequent smoothing capacitor will be about 20 (the peak of 15 minus two diode drops).

A 12V transformer is more suitable. That would give about 15.5V across the capacitor.
