implimenting SNMP protocol

hi all,
I want to use SNMP protocol in my devices, connected in network. and i have searched about this on internet after a deep study i found that their are some commands by which we control the devices through the SNMP protocol. but now i want to know that where i use these commands & how will i use these commands.
Please anybody help me............
