hi friends,
i need to know what are the different cad tools are available for designing an vlsi circuits and what are the algorithms are used for those tools if anyone knows plz kindly let me know.
 

cadence is a professional tool for complete vlsi design line.

properitary tools may not reveal the algorithms used inside.
 

thank you for your reply but still i didnt clear friend actually my sir said totally there are 64 CAD tools are available for designing vlsi circuit it seems i want to know what those 64 tools are??????

i dont know how your teacher arrived at this figure. may be including all professional and opensource tools.

but if vlsi cad tools is mentioned , majority of industries use the following :

Synopsis , Cadence and Mentor Graphics .
 

Why not ask him to list them.

Or perhaps try and search for them yourself.

There is a little used website called google.com that may help you. ;-)
