Hi All,

I want to make a on-off cycle timer which will go on for 5 minutes, off for 1 minute, etc. I also want a digital display which will show minutes and seconds to the next switching action. And I am a bit clueless about how to go around this 8-O.

From what I can gather, the 16F628 would be a relatively good choice to use as the basis of the circuit. It seems to be able to time and also drive an LED display directly, any pointers please on where I can go from here, looking for tutorials on setting it up as an off timer, driving the LED display and programming (C / Basic, not machine code!).

T,

ec :)
