Is there any method to improve power factor and eliminate the lower order harmonics like 3rd 5th etc. from the input line current waveform in single pahse ac-dc line commutated rectifiers. can we use sinusoidal PWM for this in anyway.

Also can anyone tell me the output voltage for a non-ideal boost converter with the intrinsic resistance included. i need to know if there is a relationship between the current flowing in the converter and the duty cycle.
