Using a 3 Phase Motor Driver for a Brushed Motor

I am want to build a motor controller that I can use with either a brushed or brushless motor. I was looking to use the TI's DRV8402 part for this but it is being discontinued. Would the DRV8332 would for a brushed motor as well as a brushless? I can't tell how much of a difference there is in functionality.

After have examined TI datasheets, I found information
that the dicontinued ic drv8402 Dual full bridge PWM driver
has updated version drv8432
You mentioned ic drv8332 Three half bridge PWM driver
it has same functionality as DRV8432 ( 3 driver instead 4 in 8432 )

Theoretically you can control 1 BLDC Motor and 1 Brushed DC Motor with 8332
and 1 BLDC Motor and 2 Brushed DC Motors with 8432

As far as I can know, to control the speed of a three phase motor, you need to change the frequency of the "AC" output. To control the speed of a brushed motor you need to change the voltage, unless you raise the frequency to a value where the iron losses in the motor become excessive.
There is also a slight problem with three phases with one motor, and one with the other - current limit. Depending on what you actually want to do and the range of control, you could feed the three phase into bridge rectifiers giving pulsing DC then feed this via an inductor to give an inverse frequency/voltage output relationship.
