Error installing cadence ic610 on ubuntu 10.10

Hi all
I have installed cadence ic610 on ubuntu 10.10. When i run icfb& it shows the errors:

\e Display :0.0 Error "BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)"
\e request 18 error 3 serial 1714


Could someone help me to fix this problem. Thanks a lot

Ubuntu is not supported see the attached pdf
so better to try in RHEL compatible OSs like Cent OS or Scientific linux

Thanks for your commend. I already installed ic610 on ubuntu10.10. It shows license problem. I can open symbol in read mode only, When
I open in write mode , it show the error as below:

Loading schView.cxt
Loading selectSv.cxt
Loading vhdl.cxt
Loading seismic.cxt
Loading ams.cxt
*WARNING* (icLic-3) Could not get license Virtuoso_Schematic_Editor_L
(deLicense-5) Could not get the license for Symbol. Open aborted.

I dont know how to deal with it. Do you have any idea? Thanks
 

Run this command
lmstat -a -c $CDS_LIC_FILE
at the prompt and check if the required lics are available.
