Hey
ive been searching these forums for how to make a different starting position on an optical mouse
I know its possible to read a delta-x delta-y but i want to know if I could, for instance...
make it so that if the mouse screen 30% black pixels it would give me a certain output (for example, x=10, y = 10) and if it had 60% it would give another output (again, as example, x=20 y = 20)?
The starting position of my project will be different every time, so I need it to read different starting positions every time

the closest thing i came to was

Optical Mouse Hacks: 2D Micropositioning using cheap mouse cameras « Outguessing the machine

any suggestions?
