Is current mode full-bridge smps a bad idea when much slope compensation is needed?

Hello,

i am doing an isolated full bridge smps with Vin = 200V to 373V.

Power = 340W.

I have a primary current sense transformer to sense primary current.

I can do this smps in current mode, (MC34025 controller) but will need much slope compensation for when the Vin = 200V.

-When large amounts of slope are added, one has to make the current sense resistor smaller.....which degrades the quality of short-circuit and overload protection.

So is current mode a bad idea here?
