Which is the best open source embedded linux distribution, accompanied with the platform builder and source development kit?

I use microtronix uClinux with altera nios 3.1 platform. The development kit is stratix 1s10 embedded system development kit. I think it is nice and suitable as a fundamental platform to learn embedded linux as well.

uClinux of 05-2003 or 02-2004. or else the Snapgear version.
