Hi guys, sorry to disturb you all. I am confused with the difference between gabor filter and a gabor wavelet? is there any difference? if so, what is the difference?

Usually 2D design of Gabor filters require DESIGN in 2D Frequency ( because it can easily get out of boounds!). This is related to several issues:
a) not obeying the Nyquist criteria
b) phase distortions
c) not forming a '' frame''
d) mack up in 2D frequencies
and some others. The design in space is naive.

Firstly, thanks for replying. Just to clarify(if wrong do correct me), a Gabor filter is made up of Gabor wavelets. Am i right to say this? or what is the relationship between gabor filters and Gabor wavelets?
