I have designed a metering panel, apart from revenue meters my panel has a PC for recording revenue meter readings & genertaing few other alarms. Now this PC is powered from 24VDC from converter that in turn gets input from 125VDC at field. Now if the DC voltage at field is to go out, I need some kind of alarm to be generated, now all my alarms are generated from PC & my PC will loose power if 125VDC is out. Need some ideas to resolve this

What type of alarm do you need? What’s the power supply for the alarm?
A simple way to solve, just use some relay, energised directly from the main power supply or from the 24Vdc.
