Reflective optical sensor for heart rate measurement

i have tried with 950nm ir transmitter and reciever pair.but couldnot get d output..can anyone please suggest me a reflective optical sensor suitable for heart rate measurement..it should be sensitive to change in light intensity..or suggest me any good photodetector for super red led which should also be sensitive to change in light intensity..
