replacement lcd for irrigation system controller

My lcd for my rainbird esp-6tm controller doesnt display all figures. Instead of buying a new controller for 100+bucks I was thinking of replacing the lcd part on the controller pcb. Only problem is that i cant find a part number and i cant locate the schematic. I was wondering if anybody knew what type of lcd part is on the pcb if i added pictures and provided dimension of the lcd.

18 pins on each side. approx. (1 5/8") x (7/8")

I have a similar problem. My sprinkler controller has an LCD with rubber contacts that are press fit against the pcb. If you open it up and place it back it works for about 5 minutes and then goes back to being flakey. Chip problem or LCD problem? The darn things have about doubled in price since I got this one...
