There are sample codes available with Hitech C compiler for LCD demo..but it is written over there tat code works wid HD44780 LCD controller. I am using JHD162A LCD..So whether tat same code can work
 

This one is apparently HD44780 compliant one. Code written for HD44780 LCD should work on it as well, however, you'll have to tweak the delay code and the contrast pin.
