Hello all !!!!
we have the MPlab IDE demo version software.. we tried compiling a C program for PIC16F877..The following error is displayed :
"compiler operating in demo mode. some command line options are disabled and compilation is delayed. register this compiler to enable these options...hence build failed"

How to rectify this error???how to compile the c program??
please help!!:roll:
 

Dear swetha vasu, MPLAB IDE do not have a demo version it is free
you might have been using Hi-TECH PICC Compiler it compiles the small codes in lite version i cant say anything without seeing your code
please paste your code.
you can also download C-17 compiler of Microchip it may not be available on Microchip Website but you can find it elsewhere on the internet.

Here is my code which i tried to compile.....please brief me on how to go about with the initial settings for this program to be built successfully... I tried to comile the program using the instructions given in the manual, but, i kept getting errors!!!
