I am from hong kong too...
Actually, there are many big companies started the design engineering team in shenzhen. You can seek for jobs in hong kong and work in shenzhen.....
I think the salary will be good..... and shenzhen living standard (or spending) is almost the same as in hong kong..............

very difficult to find internship in china, i tried my best, but failed. i think it is much easier to work in foreign company for foreigner than chinese. and it is not bad to work in china, though salary is not high, while consume is also low.

Well,You know IC design in China is not very advanced.But as the economic developing fastly,every field would develop,including IC design.So,there are many opportunities in China.especially in IC design field,for its undeveloping.
