strange question isn't it
i am studying for my master degree in microwave engineering
and i will graduate in the near future , i don't think i will find a job in my field so i am thinking to continue with my Phd
here is the question i am confused in which field to continue
i think there is no much research in field of microwaves and RF circuits
i am thinking in starting my study in new technologies like nanotechnology and mems i think they have a very bright future or am i mistaken any ideas are welcomed

The job market for RF & Microwave engineers is probably better than for digital engineers at the moment (the current shortage seems to be electrical power/distribution engineers).

I'd say that RF/Microwave engineers have had good carreer prospects over at least the last 20 years - it's a good field to be in.

Think twice before changing course!
