how to make object float in the air

1. can someone give me an idea or scope on how to make an object float in the air.
2. then how can it be controlled in the air for human use.
no idea is useless and all points are valuable.
 

you can use basic concept, like fan.

or you can use more advanced technique, like the maglev train, based on the electromagnetic concept.
 

For object you can use static energy. Prob best to control floatation for human by fan.

1) If u want an object to float in the air, then fill it wit Hydrogen gas or create vaccum.

2) If u want an object to fly in air, then use a propellor(fan) or electromagnetic repulsion.
 

The Mythbusters program had an episode where they tested a claim about using static electricity to make a lightweight, kite-like contraption float in the air. There was no visible means of support.

They built the device and it worked. The static created a continual wind which lifted the device off the table.
