circuit connection to control DC motor direction from PIC 16F877A to motor drive L298

I use IC L298 as a motor driver to control forward and reverse direction of dc motor. But i dont know how to connect the input for pin 10 and 12 of L298. For my project, I control motor direction through PC (control using GUI visual basic 6.0) and PIC 16F877A to contol motor. So, can anyone help me find the solution??

for connecting PIC to PC u need to use MAX232 ic..
