Hi guys,

part of my group project is to design and implement an audio player on hardware (FPGA - Xilinx Spartan 3).

What kind of audio codec (free/open), is least resource expensive (least use of processing, memory, etc).

We can chose any codec we want, failing which, we have to resort to just implementing a Wave player (which brings in more resource constraints..).

Please help me out, or give me some tips on where to look/ask for help.

Many Thanks
Rosh
