sir,
i have designed receiver for on-chip interconnects,i want to know hw to determine i/p sensitivity of receiver theoretically..on what factors basis we should say ...........?

tanq for reply sir,
can u please, explain the relationship between BER and sensitivity

Senstivity will be defined by the receiver's ability to sucessfuly decode the coming signal. And that will be defined by the BER.

hope this will helped

tanq for ur response,
that is fine ,i have designed the receiver for on-chip interconnects for this i want to know how to calculate sensitivity

Is unclear for me how you designed a receiver without knowing how to determine the target sensitivity.
Actually the BER is function of the SNR (signal to noise ratio) of the receiver, when the sensitivity is given by:
Receiver Sensitivity[dBm] = –174 + 10*LOG(BW[Hz]) + NF[dB] + SNR[dB]
