Dear Sir/Madam

Recently we have bought some coaxial resonator (Trans-Tech SR8800LPQ1357BY). we want to use it for an oscillator but we find out it has only one lead to connect on PCB. Could you please help us with using this part.
Dose it have any other lead, for example its body or so?

Many thanks and Best Regards

Sounds like there is only one coupling point to resonator. Coupling is usually either an inductive loop or a capacitive probe.

If you have a continuity to ground it is probably inductive loop. If no continuity to case then probably capacitive probe. Inductive loops are usually down near ground end of resonator, Capacitive probe at middle to top of resonator.

Either can be used for an oscillator.

thanks.
I want to use it as a inductor. But there is only one point to connect on PCB. Where is the other? should we connect the body of resonator as a second point to the ground or not?

LPQ means quarterwave resonator (shorted stub). The parts are intended to be soldered on a large ground pad. Consult the Trans-tech datasheet for the suggested foot print..
